The Story
Before Luminest was even an idea, Kevin was working as a freelance IT and software engineer across the Mediterranean. From small coastal towns to bustling city centers, the work was varied — but one pattern kept showing up. Local business owners, talented people running restaurants, shops, and services, were intimidated by the idea of building an online presence. They knew they needed one, but the tech world felt like it spoke a different language.
That disconnect stuck with Kevin. Here were people who were absolute experts at what they did — cooking incredible food, running a tight ship, serving their communities — but they felt locked out of the digital world that could help them grow. Too many agencies talked down to them, charged too much, or delivered cookie-cutter results that didn't reflect the heart of the business.
Kevin has always been driven by a deep love for software development and an obsession with getting the details right. Not perfectionism for its own sake, but because every pixel, every word, every interaction on a website is a reflection of the business it represents.
